Brutus moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to train at The Nightmare Factory Wrestling school. The school was owned and operated by Cody Rhodes, a former WWE Superstar and the son of wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes.
Brutus was excited to begin his training at The Nightmare Factory, but he was also nervous. He knew that he would be training alongside other aspiring wrestlers, all of whom were just as determined as he was. But he was also excited to be learning from Cody Rhodes, who was not only a successful wrestler but also an experienced trainer.
As Brutus began his training, he quickly realized that wrestling was much more than just slamming opponents and jumping off ropes. He had to learn the nuances of the sport, including how to sell moves and work the crowd. He also had to develop his own in-ring persona and style.
Brutus spent hours in the ring, practicing his moves and refining his skills. He worked on his agility, his strength, and his endurance, pushing himself to his limits. And he was constantly seeking feedback and advice from Cody and the other trainers at The Nightmare Factory.
As he continued to train, Brutus began to develop his in-ring persona. He knew that he wanted to be a dominant force in the WWE, someone who was feared and respected by his opponents. He settled on the name Brutus Blackwell, a nod to his imposing size and strength.
But developing a persona was only part of the equation. Brutus also had to develop his in-ring style, figuring out the moves and techniques that would showcase his strength and athleticism while also entertaining the crowd.
Under Cody's guidance, Brutus honed his skills and developed a signature moveset that included power slams, suplexes, and devastating clotheslines. He also worked on his mic skills, learning how to cut a promo that would hype up the crowd and intimidate his opponents.
As Brutus progressed in his training, he began to gain more confidence in himself and his abilities. He knew that he had what it took to become a WWE Superstar, and he was determined to make it happen.
